Broken Promises
Rick Rath feat. Lyrae
Lyrae brings the weight of a broken promise onto the dance floor.
The sound
For fans of cinematic builds, late-night progressive house, and melodic vocal hooks with a 90s club-memory afterglow.

DJ / Curator notes
WHY IT FITS.
Lyrae’s vocal is the point to listen for in a program of melodic house. The slow build and emotional turn make a useful bridge between quieter vocal records and a bigger late-night selection.
Behind the song
THE FEELING BEHIND IT.
Rath and Lyrae put a phrase usually spoken in private at the center of a progressive-house track. The title carries the sting, while the 132 BPM pace keeps the record reaching forward. Follow it with “Say My Name” to hear the pair in a different mood.
