After a 20 year hiatus from the dance music scene, Rick Rath has returned. In the 90’s, Rath was known for his genre bending style, combining different dance sub-genres and his experience as a DJ to build a unique sound. His productions earned a number of Canadian Gold and Platinum records and his remixes laid the foundation for artist wanting to cross genres into club and dance music.

Rath wrote a book on digital music distribution as part of his senior thesis and parleyed that passion for entertainment technology and software development into J! Media – a dynamic ad insertion technology for downloadable media files. Later he joined Yangaroo as the Chief Technology Officer and helped modernize broadcast media distribution and award show management platforms.

Rath has never been far from the music, keeping most of the same studio he produced his old tracks on.
