RICK RATH

Rick Rath is an electronic music producer based in Toronto. His work brings together melodic songwriting, club rhythms and collaborations with vocalists across genres.

His interest in sound began with early music software on a Commodore 64. Hip-hop led him into DJing during high school, followed by studio production using an Atari 1040ST and Emagic Logic. He has worked with Logic for more than 25 years.

After a long break from releasing music, Rick returned in 2024 with a renewed focus on production and collaboration. His catalogue includes “Call It Even Now” with Thvndr and Rheyn, “Lift Your Voice” with Rheyn, and “Feel Your Body” with DJ Collective.

Whether developing a new track or revisiting an earlier idea, his focus is on the connection between a song’s feeling, its vocal and the energy of its production.
